Overview:
- This add on gives the admin and the staff with the right permissions the ability to ban users from entering multiple forums or posting in them at once.
- Admins and the other staff members with the permissions to use this will see a new link added to the Moderator tools drop down list called: User forum ban. There users can be banned from multiple forums.
- Ban users from viewing the selected forums.
- Ban users from viewing threads in the selected forums.
- Ban users from posting and starting new threads in the selected forums.
- Users can be banned from entering a forum or multiple forums either indefinitely, or a for a certain amount of days after which they will be removed automatically from the Forum ban list and they won't be affected from the aforementioned restrictions.
- When banning an user from entering a forum or forums a reason can be entered as to why that is. This is optional.
- A cron will run every day and it will remove all expired all temporarily forum banned users when the ban length has expired.
- Admins can edit and remove all forum banned users. Whereas the users of other groups will be able to edit and remove only the banned users that they have been adding themselves.
- Whenever someone banns an user from a forum or forums, edits or deletes a forum banned user it will be logged at the Moderator logs page in the admin panel.
